INTEGRATION OF EXISTING SYSTEMS
Possible
Situation:
CCTV -
You have an existing CCTV system running a mix of 60 cameras, feeding
back to a head end through various cabling. There are several VCR
tape recorders or Digital Video Recorders
with six CCTV/VGA monitors (four live and two offering playback).
You are unhappy
with the quality of the recorded video and several court cases have
been rejected because of lack of clear identification. Your problems
are: you now need to upgrade your security to an improved level
using the latest technologies, you have heard of IP, you need a
better image resolution and higher frame rates on alarm situations.
You would like a greater degree of integration to access control and
have heard buzz words such as ANPR, Biometrics and threat analysis.
ACCESS CONTROL
- You have an existing access control system running in the
underground parking area and three door access points on the ground
floor with select doors at various points around the buildings. Your
problems include: you cannot track who is where in the building,
many staff are tail-gating other card users, you have several theft
problems and need to tie down who is responsible.
FIRE - There
have been one or two incidents where the smoke detectors have gone
off and in one case the reaction to a small fire in the storage area
was slow because information to security was poor, fortunately the
fire was contained. You would like greater control of what is
happening and the ability to tie in cameras and other information
should there be another trigger.
BUILDING
MANAGEMENT - Electricity, Lighting, Heating Ventilation & Air
Conditioning (HVAC), are all being left on over weekends and at night time
when they could all be better managed. You know the cleaning staff
need to get around the building but a central control could
allow cleaners access and lighting as they move from area to area
and floor to floor.
Solution:
Upgrade your older Digital solution and check your current cabling
and cameras. Choose from our product range dependent upon frame
rates, camera quality, required mode of cabling or wireless and between an
analogue DVR or networked IP NVR solution, and of course your budget. Install
encoders or IP cameras, gain
a higher quality of picture up to 4CIF (640 x 480) per image. Record
for weeks or months according to hard drives provided with
redundancy.
Integrate the CCTV feed
with your Access Control and Fire. Add the Electricity, Lighting &
HVAC, lifts and other management system. Sky-Walker will now provide
the direct interface to all systems. This will include direction of
controllers according to Standard Operating Procedure and automated
functionality with full reports. A fire trigger in one area will
automatically set a camera recording, open relevant access doors,
start key emergency lighting, notify the fire department and shut
down ventilation systems.
Your open areas can be
covered by high resolution megapixel cameras and NVRs on
your current network ensuring that your property is completely
covered.
These can all be linked to an
off site control room allowing on site control during working hours
and automated switch over with dual or full management as required.
Ultimately this has proven to allow the reallocation of manpower and
reduced on key guarding costs per site.
